PRESS STATEMENT
The Ministry of Health and Social Services would like to put into proper context a report that
appeared in one daily newspaper giving the impression that some of the arrivals in Namibia in
March this year are lost to the Ministry and that they might be a source of community
transmission. The Ministry would like to state that the records of all the arrivals are with the
Ministry, which include the contact details. It was stated by the Ministry that none of the
arrivals have come forward with the symptoms consistent with Covid-19. The public is hereby
assured that the Ministry will continue to monitor all arrivals, especially those from high risk
countries for any possible manifestation of Covid-19.
