Re: COVID-19 LOCKDOWN MEASURE #9
In line with His Excellency President Hage Geingob’s announcement on Tuesday, 14 April 2020, the
lockdown has been extended to midnight on Monday 04 May 2020.
The initial lockdown which only targeted the Khomas and Erongo regions, will now apply to all 14
regions of the country in order to minimise the impact of COVID-19 on the Namibian nation.
The University’s Management will communicate further academic and administration directives as
soon as possible. Meanwhile, all staff and students are strongly advised to remain calm, cooperate
with authorities and allow them to work unhindered and respect regulations in place.
Your cooperation on this matter is highly appreciated. Please continue to limit your movement, wash
your hands regularly and immediately report any symptoms associated with the virus to 0800 100
100. Stay safe and healthy.
